You can still solve that with all the = signs. But anyway. Your problem here: 6 +17z = 13z + 18

Combine your like terms. Like terms in this case are 18 and 6. So what I do in this case is subtract 6 from both sides.

Now you have this:
17z = 13z + 12

Now, since the left side of the equation only has the 17z, we're going to want to subtract 13z from both sides so you only have the one term on each side.

Now you have this:
4z = 12

Now you simply divide by 4 to get z by itself.

Your final answer is:
z = 3.

I have to agree with the way it's stated this can not be correct at all. if you did mean 6-17z=13z-18 then the guy before me is correct. Check if it came through right though

Check your equations.
Equations are not CORRECT.
I assume you mean 6-17z=13z-18
+17z==>6=30z-18
+18==>24=30z
/30==>24/30=z
==>z=4/5

Are you sure you typed this correctly? Shouldn't there be some + or -, not just =???
