Yes... it means you have been awarded a degree.
It goes from first, two-one, two-two and third.

If you have a third class degree.... you have a degree, but at the lowest pass rate.

Hey 50% of the population in the UK go on to higher education these days, many would struggle to pass any exam that didn't have a multiple choice answer, so what do they do, add an extra year to most courses to bring the little darlings up to speed on the little thing like eh..reading and writing!!!.
We live in a third class country, why not have a degree of the same standard..

It is a pass yes... but if you consider how easy degrees are a third looks like a pretty stupid person. I suspect my hamster could get a third

yes. any lower is a fail. Third class is the lowest pass

Yep, lowest class of honours. You could also have a degree with no honours at all, just a pass, so it could be worse!
