I am just wondering because I want to have options after I get out of school, instead of being stuck with one... teaching. So I was wondering if there were any other careers (or masters programs) I could get into if I stick with Education and English.... or weather i should change my major.

Research would require your an Ed.D or a Ph.D. However, research will also mean you'll have to teach at a University level.

With an Ed.M you could actually become the principal of a High School and earn 90k a year. I think that would be your best option.

Other than teaching, you pretty much are stuck, unless you want to gamble and do freelance writing (usually dominated by Journalism majors) or become a writer (usually means homeless in a few weeks).
