I often wonder if musicians have a different take on dating, what is it that you look for in that girl or guy??

I looked for a partner who wasnt a groupie or who'll just want money, someone who supports me in my music. I've known some guys which their girlfriends wanted them to quit. If you dont like what they do you shouldnt be with them.
I actually married the singer of my band. I wouldnt mind if she wasnt in the band though. But i'd definately want someone who loved music just as much as me.

The only people I as a musician date are people who have an appreciation for music. Not necessarily an understanding, that can be fixed just by hanging around me long enough. But they have to appreciate music and audio-beauty, and be tolerant/understanding of the fact that I need to devote a large chunk of time every day to practicing and performing and composing. It's kind of my life, and if that's not cool with you, you have no place dating me. My favorite sig. others have been those who are also musicians - always having a jam partner is great.

Depends on the musician...true love of music musician or the standard want to fit in so ill play bass like everyone and smoke pot musician?
Personally, i tend to loook for someone that loves music as much as i do and can understand that it has to come first and takes a lot of time. Seems to work better than way. I cant stand groupies.

Well, I really like guys who are good singers (I've noticed that over the years), but I tend to look for brains over that. I really like smart guys who don't show off all of the time and who make good grades. Really, though, I don't think that most musicians have that many dating preferences that are too different from anyone else. That's an interesting question, though. I should ask some of my friends about that in our choirs.

i will connect the chorus- i have performed for decades...by no skill cheated on a lady i changed into in touch with. As for the drugs- sure drugs and alcohol are component of the song international, yet I worked contained in the eating position marketplace for twenty plus years, and they were as ordinary, if no extra so, there.
