I don't know but I think you would have better luck if you used ping pong balls.

Sure - all you'd need is enough of them and ways of attaching them and you could always attach them to each other like a string of pearls. In fact, this is how they DO raise ships except with much larger balls filled with air.

i watched that episode on mythbusters...they eventually raised the ship, but with too many pingpong balls for a normal person to do that in their daily life.
