Personally, I like "The Unicorn". It was actually made into a childrens song, which is how I first heard of it. It was fun to listen to, but at the same time gives the message to children that they need to listen to their "elders", or those in charge of them or they may come to a "bad ending" just as the unicorn did for not obeying Noah. I think he also wrote "I Know An Old Lady Who Swallowed a Fly..." and it is also a fun kids song. My granddaughter laughs at it.

Where The Sidewalk Ends...
By Shel Silverstien
One of my ALL TIME favorite books
One of the first I ever owned!
I cannot go to school today...
I have the measles and the mumps, a gash, a rash, and purple bumps...
WHAT A GREAT CHILDHOOD MEMORY!
Thanks for dredging it up!!! :)

It's either in that one or the other Shel Silverstein book with a bunch of kids poems. I like it because it's funny.

My hair grows to my toes
I never wears no clothes
I wraps my hair around my bare
and down the road I goes.

I am trying to do this from memory so forgive any mistakes;

There are too many people in this tub
too many elbows to scrub
I just washed a behind
I am sure it's not mine
there are too many people in this tub.

Shell Silverstien ROCKS! and Thanks KateH. I forgot about that one.
