I live in Destin, & love it! Someone else said Marina Cafe, & I agree, but they are fine dining & very expensive. There is an old place down in Sand Destin. If you are on vacation, ask any of the locals, about Red Bar. It's the most awesome atmosphere, with amazing food. They only have about 5 things on the menu, and it's on a chalk board that they bring to the table. in the evenings, that have an amazing local jazz band play, and they have a wonderful bar. It's a local fav.
There is another place on Okaloosa Island, about 10 mins from destin, called Old Bay Steamer. Awesome seafood. Much better selection, still has great atmosphere, but not the same jazzy feel!

If I'm correct there is a place called joes crab shack in destin, and while it may not look very good there food is delicous.
