i used an on-line service to get a loan. i was told that if i was not approved by the six lenders i would recieve my money back. all i had to do was follow the refund page and in thirty days my money would be refunded. i did that three times and it has almost been a year and still no money or a response to my over a hundred emails

Yes you have been scamed. You should contact your state office of consumer fraud,or consumer protection whichever it is called where you are. This is a division of the state attorney general's office in the state you reside. They will send you a complaint form which you must place your complaint on with as much documentation as possible. Send the form to the consumer affairs office and they will have an investigator look it over and decide on a course of action that will help you. They also in my state have a website so I just download complaint forms against various scams as they happen. The computer is very helpful in such situations. Good luck with your complaint.:)(it does take some time as there are many consumer complaints against various scam activity)

Since this does involve monies paid, would be great to find others who have used this same service, HOWEVER, if you really feel this is fraud and not in error, the FBI now has a department that deals with online fraud. Since you state you have tried so hard to get resolve this, I'd sure check out their site at http://www.fbi.gov/majcases/fraud/internetschemes.htm , they also have links to other agencies that deal with white collar crime. Also have you contacted your financial agency that payment was made through for advice?
I would also lean heavily twds researching this company and see if I couldn't locate a physical address and check licensing agencies in their area.
Good Luck.

what you need to do first is order a copy of your credit report and make sure there are no fraudulent activities going on. also, i would call the better business bureau to report your complaint. if they are not listed, which if it was a scam, they probably will not be, they can put a flag on that company. depending how you paid them, you could dispute the transaction with your bank or credit card company if paid with debit or credit card. good luck
