I ask my mom is can wear thongs and she said no....what should i do??? I am ALMOST in the 9th grade and i want to wear them, not because i am skanky just because i like them ...HELP!!!

well that happened to me too but i was too embarrassed to ask her so i went to the store and bought them without telling her. i did that cause i dont like panty lines and they feel more comfterble

She says no,because generally Thongs are a form of lingerie.She more than likely feels you are a little young to wear them and that if you do wear them that you are wearing them for that one purpose:To show them off.I would honestly,not disobey your mother.She is telling you this for your own good,and for a reason.Respect her enough to listen to her,when you are older you can wear whatever underwear you prefer.As long as she is purchasing your clothing,follow her rules.When you are an adult,you can wear whatever you want.Until then,follow your mothers rules and try to understand her point of view.Probably not the answer you want to hear.Good luck with that.

What's the point? It's just underwear. If you honestly find them more comfortable and you're not going to wear them to be skanky, just save your money and go buy a few pairs at a store. You're the one wearing them, not her...if you honestly find them more comfortable (which is part of the point of underwear), then go ahead.

Say mom, you know how when i wear some pants you can see my underwear line and that is trashy in my opinion, could i wear a thong so i wouldnt look trashy, and that i dont want to wear a thong because i think they look cool and you HAVE to wear them because of peir pressure, but they look comfortable and would be good for some of my outfits, ill understand if you say no, but will you please think abou it?

Sorry Hun ur to young to be Thinking about wearing "THONGS" school just started so that means ur still in the 8th grade... U should only be worried about school, anyways "THONGS" should only be worn when you wear pants that show you pantie line... but ur still so young... you'll be attracting the wrong type of attention....Good luck on ur choice but u should listen to ur mom...

Well of course your mom is going to say no because she thinks it's inappropriate...
I honestly think you're too young to get them.. you're in the 8th grade! Wait a year, no one is going to know you have them unless you make it stick out or make it obvious when you change for PE. Do you think it'll feel right to be wearing them after your mom forbids you to wear them? Do you feel comfortable buying them yourself? If you have to ask your mom for permission, then I think you're still young. Just wait a year to see how things go.. you'll be more mature then. :)

it's not like ur mom is gonna check every day
plus there's nothing wrong with them
and it'd help if u start doing ur own laudry
i'm not saying dont' listen to ur mom..
but it's juss taht wearing thongs is such a small problem x.x

Explain to your mom the reasons you want to wear that type of underwear. I had to sit my mom down and tell her that i just found them to be more comfortable than briefs and she was totally fine with it...She even helped me pick some out. :)
Don't argue with Mom, just give her good, honest, mature reasons why you want to wear them.

They are gross and unhealthy for the female body. Just wear normal panties. Nothing is wrong with them. Your mom sounds like a good mom!
