To do decently at fantasy games and at least win an average share of games, you have to study the scoring categories of your league, then look at your players and see who among them offer you the best scoring against those categories. Then compare your players with some of the better ranking players not on any one else's team and see if they are better or worse. If they are better, you might want to drop a few of your poor performing players and pick up a few of those players that are available.

And if you want to trade with another team, you have to offer a fair value to get what you want. If you offer low ranked players for high ranked players, you will probably never get a reply. If you look at the team you want to trade with, and offer a player they can use in return for a player you can use, you stand a better chance of making that trade. The other thing is to be patient and learn from your losses. Study your team and see where the scoring was low and that helps to identify your team's needs.

Oh, one more thing. Just because you like this player or that, doesn't mean an opposing manager will trade that player to you, no matter how huge a fan you are. But they make sucker you into making a bad trade by wanting more than you should give up to get that player, so beware, and good luck.
