in times of political and societal stress these worshippers of tanit and astarte sometimes sacrificed their children to fire and buried their charred remains in urns or in collective graves!!!population level could have been sustained at higher levels in north africa if rome had not "rocked" and "salted" much of carthages farmlands as retribution for it's attacks on european soil and carthage and it's allies depredations and piracies at sea!!had hanibal's and hamilcars use of elephants been more "decisive "and "effective" this animal would have been more widely dipersed and traded for use in war and transportation!!art would have been even more drawn away from "greek influences" that the romans "fawningly" mimiced!!and the use of african peoples as slaves and the cultures affects of african art would have permeated art sooner!!and music would have also sshown a similar trend!!carthage's strong "phoenician-influenced"culture would have expanded exploration and trade all the sooner..perhaps finding the american lands to the west sooner also!!this would have spread a mediterranean culture from that period into native american cultures, villages and areas!!there is some proof that this did indeed happen in the eastern u.s.to some extent anyway!!
islam would possiblly not have become a "world religion" supplanting all else accross north africa and the middle east as the linch-pins of the phoenician city states were always on sound and cooperative terms with carthage and it's satellite colonies in spain, portugal and wales!!(where there were tin mines contributing to the production of bronze tools and weapons)

you are able to learn it with the chilly conflict (style of, for sure) at present. Rome and Carthage have been the superpowers of that era. all the different countries have been insignificant in comparison with those 2. whilst Rome defeated Carthage, there grow to be basically one superpower left. it extremely isn't any accident the Roman empire larger distinctly after the defeat of Carthage.

No republic. You know, Rome was the first civilization that developed republic. And there will be a lot of changes today if Rome would ever been defeated.

well, for starters, we wouldn't have the great art & architecture left behind by the Romans in Carthage... and all the influences on their culture it left behind and vice versa.
