It's funny how when you are young and all you hear about how great this country is until you begin thinking on your own and see how they obviously are more interested in killing other people and their own rather than looking into more "kind" endeavors. I have given up on this country in that regard, but I have heard that Canada has made great strides despite strong criticism from the US. I have about 50 years give or take to live and would like to not have to travel to Amsterdam to enjoy the finer things in life. It was so pleasant to puff on a spliff while watching out a coffee shot window as the children and other members of society peacefully went about their business.

That was a dream toked up by our previous liberal government, but I guess they were so high they never got around to passing the law before they got tossed out on their corrupt backsides. There will be no legalization for many years to come.

Marijuana damages your brain and lungs, and causes cancer. It is also mildly addictive. That being said, it should be legal for people over 18 years old. It should be safely regulated, produced, and distributed. There is also no way anyone should be in jail for using marijuana. Personally I don't use this drug because I am too competitive and athletic. (I have tried it though and enjoyed comedy shows and funny movies, as well as snacks. But my conversational skills were greatly depleted). As a Canadian, I think this was a proud achievement of our previous Liberal government to break away from the right-wing American drug policy. Hopefully, at some point we will return to more progressive thinking in our federal government.

I think Denver legalized personal a while back. Maybe a year or two. I think Canada, Germany, and England all have the same rules as Denver, an ounce in your home no where else.
