i work in an airport and have to go through security so would it better 4 my phone if i left it in the car or would the x-rays kill the battery after awile

Nothing should happen to your battery - if it does you have a one year warranty on it so it will be replaced for free. I worked for a service center and I never heard that one before. ;-)

Unless you're expecting to answer phone calls while you're working leave it in the car. The lots are controlled by security, so only folks that have dealings inside the terminal are allowed to park where you do.

No X-Rays have no effect on a cell phone battery.
