Living or you could go back in time and talk to one that has passed. What you you say.

I would choose Ronald Regan. I would tell him that he was a good man. It was a wonderful thing that he helped get the Berlin Wall torn down.

He had a consistent level of leadership and was open to all people

A lot of people "liked Ike", but I'd want to hear what he had to say, after serving as Supreme Commander of the Allied effort against Hitler and Mussolini. And even as Supreme Commander, he was humble enough and smart enough to allow George Patton to go back into the war and hammer the German war machine into total submission.

I would love to tell Carter and Clinton what I think of them... That is , that they were great presidents and fantastic humanitarians in the times after their terms have ended. They are the only presidents in recent times that make me proud to be an American.

How dare Bethy compare Reagan with Lincoln. Lincoln freed the slaves. If Reagan had his way, blacks would be back serving their masters. Lincoln was probably the greatest president ever, Reagan was truly devastating. He left a budget deficit that was horrendous!

Thomas Jefferson or George Washington. If it was a non-president it would be a three way tie between Edmund Burke, Benjamin Franklin, or John Locke. Maybe these men could tell us how to fix our country.

Personally I would prefer to speak with George Washington. He was the first President of these United States and would possess the least contaminated perception of what the founding fathers had imagined for our nation (and seeing that he was one of them).

I would choose the current one. He is the only one that I could possibly hope to reach in time to help the nation.

Ok... a hopeless cause to be sure.

It would be hard for me to chose between Regan and Lincoln. Both were wonderful men that did wonderful things for our country! Can you imagine what an honor it would be to talk to either.

William Henry Harrison. I would ask him if he was REALLY alive for the inauguration.

Sorry, I know it's not that "patriotic," but I've really always wondered...
