You can put an ad in the newspaper or on Craig'slist (I don't know how to spell that). Just make sure that you specify that they are PET hamsters and not snake food. It'll take a while to sell that many hamsters, but I'm sure it'll happen. You can also take some of them to a pet store. Good luck! (Also, keep them separated by sex, so that you don't wind up with 80 more!)

If you try to rehome them I would still charge a small fee to turn off people looking to use them for snake food. If they are dwarf hamsters and you are rehoming them in pairs, please make sure they are properly sexed to insure no more unwanted litters. You can check if there are any shelters or rescues in the area that could help you place them(there may be a fee to surrender), but they would need to be well socialized to be put up for adoption at most places. Try not to over whelm them with too many, or they may risk being euthanised if they don't have the cage space to care for them.
Just a small note about animals that are classroom pets though…not all are cared for as well as would think. They might be left alone for long weekends and the teacher might not think ahead to what to do with them for the summer. Classroom pets have been banned at the school my mom works at, so it is something to keep in mind.

At a time I had 30 hamsters, and dolphin pet village took them for free. Are they young, or are they all different ages. Also I would look into schools and post flyers (thats how I sold 40 chickens.) Craigs list, pennysaver, or classifides list. If you absolutly have to get rid of them give them to the humane society. They save lab rats so they probably could take them in too.

how did you get 80 hamsters did you breed them or what are you looking after them propely and where do you keep them all i would go to my local pet shop they always need hamsters or put an add in a shop window if you want money for them petshops is your best bet

yeah, i agree with the answers above. post an ad for free hamsters, ask your local pet store if they want them-school is in session, ask the schools if they want class animals? and if all else fails, find somebody with a snake. or two or three. hey! call the local zoo! they have snakes!! good luck. 80 plus hamsters, my allergies are killing me just thinking about it!

You may be able to find a preschool and elementary school that will take a few as class room pets. You could also try to use freecyle.com or other pet finder sites to find people in your area that want pets hope you find them all good homes. smiles

Sell or give them to pet shops, put up fliers, give them to elementary or middle schools, give some to a rodent/small mammal rescue center, if your in Arlington, maybe I could take two or three off of your hands.
You should have smarted up before, wtf kind of person ends up with 80 unwanted hampsters?!?
