It ran hot. I replaced the water pump because it was leaking. when he replaced it he said i had a cracked head or blown gasket or a intake gasket needed to be replaced. At first the oil and water wasn't mixing, now it starting to. I fill it with water now it won't crank I think it too much water on the spark plugs. I ran it on a auto scanner because check engine light came on it read P0300.Any advice or is it best to get another motor.

If you have water in your oil...this is normally a sign of a blown head gasket. Steam out of the tail pipe....cracked head. no start condition...could be water in the cylinders or low compression or both. If you know how to work on it yourself...I'd first pull the heads and have them checked...if they are ok then headgasket is most likely the culprit and not to expensive to fix. In doing this you have to pull the intake anyway so you will get new gaskets with the head set. If you have cracked heads...then consider a rebuilt engine...or you can perhaps get a good set of heads from a salvage yard. You can call 913-367-7933 this person may have some good used heads and he is very reasonable.

Hope this helps

I can tell half these do not work on cars. GM cars have intake gaskets that crack and leak all the time. YES.. it will dump coolant in the oil and/or cylinder. As far as a cracked head or blown head gasket, that depends on how hot you ran it.
I have replaced intake gaskets on many cars that the oil was full of coolant and they were ok. But there is always that chance.

The water is getting into your cylinder. It is the head or head gasket. Water can not mix with oil through the intake. If it will not turn over it is because the cylinder is full of water.

Get another motor hun.

Remove spark plugs...if coolant comes out spark plug hole(s), then you have a major problem...ie. gasket or cracked head. If you are a do-it-yourself'er, then just pop in a used engine. If you are knowledgeable about V6 motors, especially the 3.1L, then rebuilt the top end. Also depends if engine has high miles or not. Get a repair manual if you decide to repair car yourself.

Good luck in your decision.

have you checked the thermostat???perhaps it isn't letting the potentially cooling water through!!!oil in the water is a bad indicator tough of a "blown head gasket" or perhaps a warped head affecting the head -to -block interface!!

Honestly, you could probably buy and install another engine for less that what it will cost to fix yours. Try this site: www.car-parts.com.
