Yes it is still here and as long as they're are different race groups there will still be racism. If one person out of a group doesn't look, talk , or act the same way as the rest of the group then its going to exist. Personally, I don't think that it will stop until maybe one day the people that cause the racism experience the problems and troubles of the person that has to go through the racism. One the Tyra Banks show there was a segment about which ethnic group gets the most racism. You should try to watch it sometime. It will defiantly help you with this question alot.

I hate to say this, but I think that it does. It is hard to let go of anger, and so hard not to teach your children your own bad habits. I just hope that each generation is a little more tolerant than their parents, in which case, one day racism would be out of the society's heart. Until that day, all I can do is live my life without racism and hope that I rub off on those people that I meet.

heck yeah it exists. i know because it takes more than a generation to change peoples minds. do you realize how recently it was that black people were considered 3/5 human? Racism has no hope of being eradicated until at least a century from now.

You think that is a valid question when all the hate is going on in the middle east and here in our own homeland? Racism is as old as time. It is a way of making one person feel superior to another, and it is a crock of s**t.

Just look around you. Racism is everywhere eventhough it doesn't show. Some people just can't take others for who they are. That's why I tend to stay out of the rich white suburbs.

Yes it exists. It is in every corner of our society. And it continues to exist because we have not matured as a culture to the point where we can learn to simply allow ourselves the freedom of being who we are.

Yep. definately. Everywhere you look you can find someone saying crap about someone else... and i'm sure most of us have told a few black/white jokes... or maybe some mexican people jokes? who knows why humans do this... My theory is that we all subconsciously fear anything that is different or unfamiliar to us. People react to this fear in one of three ways: 1.) they deal with it and try to get along, 2.) they become hostile, or 3.) they laugh - which is where the jokes come in to play.

Yes. Besides the general blacks and hispanics vs whites. we have America profiling an entire region in western asia. I mean this won't stop till we all are the same color, or dead. And neither will happen, well, we all might eradicate each other.
