Set goals for yourself in small distances. Lets say your running the 1600m, you normaly run it in 7min 30sec, but you want to run it in 7min. Divide the distance and time in to 200 meters.
200m 52 sec 1/8 of the run
400m 1min 44sec 1/4
600m 2min 36sec 3/8
800m 3min 28sec 1/2
So on and so forth, by doing this you make sure that you are on track to meet your goal.

Tell your best friend to dress up in a really scary costume and tell him or her to chase you! Or you could go out in the wilderness and get a wild animal to chase you, that would definitely make you run faster!!!

try doing some repeat 200s(half a lap) do about 6 of them with 2 min. rest. good luck!
