It is most likely not even close to being to late. I know my follow-up wasn't until a full week l;ater because of the excessive swelling. But as far as for the surgery it all depends on where and how the break looks. If you have a good surgeon they will talk it all out with you and you should leave his office feeling totally informed and good about your situation. I can tell you both my arms are good and the onl6y sign of the accident is where the technition messed up and got a little to close when he removed my last cast. Other then that I look great. Good luck but just remember don't leave the office with any questions they should have many models and laymens terms to help you understand it all.

It's probably not too late, and chances are even if the fracture does affect the growth of your wrist, the difference will probably not be noticeable, especially if you are in your late teens and have done most of your growing. There's no way to tell the extent of your injury without x-rays, but it's probable that you will not need surgery.

when i was younger i broke my wrist and it fractured my growth plate and moved them all around. i had the surgery that same day.. my arm has grown fine since. if it was a major problem i think the doctor would have sent you for immediate attention then getting you to book an appointment later in the week.

you will be okay, but go to the orthopedic doctor, only then you will know more. I fractured my elbow, walk around with it for a whole week , then went to the hospital, got it in a cast, and went 4 days later to the orthopedic--I am okay--no surgery, but good luck

Check with the orthoped...he or she is the expert. The answer to if it's too late is no...often surgery is delayed to be sure it's absolutely necessary. You must be young if you're concerned about the growth plate, so pay attention to what the specialist says and do take their advice.
I hope it goes well and you heal quickly & easily.

I've broken my arm many times, it can affect the growth but in most people it doesn't.

They can make it grow anyway. That's what drugs are for. And electrical treatments. Don't sweat it until it falls off.
