The main reason is that in moss' life cycle the gametophyte (that is the visible part of moss) is dominant, and in the fern's life cycle the sporophyte (that is the visible plant of fern) is dominant.

Their cycles are literally very a lot an identical, so i'm no longer particular what you're searching for for. the easily visual attraction of the flora is diverse, consisting of the spores on ferns are produced in sori lower than the leaves, at the same time as the spores on moss are produced on a stalk that stands proud from the moss. yet except visual attraction of the structures (gametophyte, sporophyte, archegonium, antheridium, and so on), the cycles are in reality an identical.

Their cycles are actually very much the same, so I'm not sure what you are looking for. The actual appearance of the plants is different, such as the spores on ferns are produced in sori under the leaves, while the spores on moss are produced on a stalk that sticks out from the moss. But other than appearance of the structures (gametophyte, sporophyte, archegonium, antheridium, etc), the cycles are basically the same.
