I reckon Jack Nicholson in The Shining and Robert de Niro in Cape Fear. Two gentlemen I would sincerely not want to bump into.

Paul Bettany in "Gangster No 1", little known gangster film set in London in the sixties. He plays the gangster in the early years. Mean, dark, and very cleaver movie, and Bettany is really very good sadistic nutter... Check it out...
