theres this guy at my school..hes perfect. hes popular, hot, friendly, outgoing, great smile, the best of friends, sweet, bascialy perfect. lived a life every teenager wanted. he killd himself last night. y would anyone in there right mind do that. we know he hated his mom but to kill himself? thats just so messed up! y do ppl actulay think about doing that?

Because he wasn't happy with his 'so-called' perfect life. Some people put on their 'happy faces' for people, they are really outgoing and you'd think they have it all, but you never really know what goes on in their lives. Being a teenager is hard stuff, I know first hand I use to be just like this kid when I was in high school..I had tons of friends, was involved in extracurricular activities, and was told I was pretty all the time, but none of that gave me the internal validation that I wasn't getting from the rest of the world. Society passes judgment based on trends and whats 'cool', and although he may have had the perfect exterior of a teenage life, things weren't like that on the inside. That's why he decided to take his life.

First of all........I am so sorry to hear about your friend. Yes, and I believe that every-one has thought about it one time or another, but Thank God most of us don't do it. A lot of times people say terrible things like: How stupid to do that or what a cop-out. But I think it takes a lot of guts to do some-thing like that, could you do it. You don't always have to be depressed to commit suicide, there are other sign too Like being too happy, giving things away, but most people think nothing of it, except that some-one is being especially nice to you or just plain happy when some thing is really bothering them. Try this the next time a friend seems to happy go up to them and give the a hug and if they start to cry something is wrong. Stay strong, stay focused and make sure that you have some one that you can take your problems to, some one you can trust like an older person or a priest or school councilor, don't try to handle it alone. People do CARE........I CARE.

You know it's hard to understand why people do what they do, moreover how they really feel. Even though it "appears" that he had the perfect life it is very possible that he had alot of stress to be perfect. Guys especially hold back their feelings for more than one reason but basically because their built that way. It is messed up someone takes their life. It is a permanent solution to a temporary situation. It's also sad in today's times that suicide is a very real way of life for teens and children to have to face. I pray for you that you and your friends get through this together and hold on to knowledge that there are people that care about you..no matter what! Blessings to you.

Some depressed people will not let you see they are depressed. They pretend everything's okay. That is the show they want you to see. When someone is in pain they may not know how to ask for help or who to ask. They may feel this was the only way for the pain to stop.

you only thought he lived a perfect life because that's what he wanted you to see. people who act strong and happy all the time are usually those who need more understanding and affection. he was trying to hide his true self, afraid that people might pity him or change the way they look at him. still, he has his reasons that we will never know.

when people are suicidal, they usually feel hopeless, maybe he was just going though something that a lot of people just couldn't see. And nobody on earth is perfect sweety, he probably had as many problems as anyone else that you know.

Obviously appearances are decieving we never know what is going on in people's lives for real. That is why it so important never to take what we see at face value . Love your friends and be there for them!

Maybe there's something in his life you don't know about. Maybe he wnated to end his life still perfect. or maybe he was in pain physically from an injury that is pernament. or maybe he had family difficulties. You never know unless you really knew him.

You only see what people want you to see, and it is so easy to hide things from people who don't live with you. We can't see through people to know when they are lying or pretending to be happy.
God is the only one who truly knows why people do what they do, and it isn't your place or mine to judge them for what they do.

Because he wasn't perfect and he was too much of a coward to change his life. Suicide is cowardly, it is not to be pitied.
