Ok, I have the bank of america toolbar powered by earthlink, & I want to uninstall it. I went to my control panel> add or remove programs> & I can't find it at all. It's not there & I can't find it anywhere. I also went to their websites & it doesn't provide any suggestions other than the one I tried to attempt. Can anybody help me with this?
Plz! Very appreciated.

Well, there are other ways to remove the toolbar besides the Add/ Remove Programs. Go to Local Disk C: > Program Files and search for the Bank of America's Folder. Open the folder and see if there is a file called "uninstall.exe" or "unins000.exe" or something similar. Clicking this file should initate the uninstall program. If there is no such file or if it doesn't work, you can still remove it but you will need to install another free program to remove it. Here are your options:

1. You might be familiar with the anti-spyware program called "Spybot Search & Destroy." If you don't have it then you should install it because it will not only remove the toolbar but provide good protection to your computer. Spybot has a tool to remove any toolbar installed on IE.

2. You can download TuneUp Utilities 2006 and use its 30 trial period. It also has an utility to remove any unwanted software programs

3 You can manually delete the program folder and any corresponding registry keys (not easy and only for the computer savvy).

4. You decide it is too much trouble trying to remove it and leave it alone.

Read over the options and decide which one you want to try. If you like, I can walk you through the process. Just send me a e-mail.

Cleaner.http://www.ccleaner.com/

This will tell you a lot about what is on your computer, such as running programmes, cookies, History, settings etc. and will help you clean up and remove unwanted items. Be careful how you use it as it is a very powerful programme and you should read the help index before you do anything with it.

Hope this information is of help to you and others.

well you might be able to disable it by going to tools>Internet options and then go to the programs tab, click on manage add-ons, a list will pop up, find the toolbar you want to disable, highlight it and then go down to where it says enable/disable and click on disable. that is assuming that you are using Internet explorer
