I honestly do not think that a business selling the items you mentioned would do well at a mall. Those kinds of things are for outdoor consumption, at parks, fairs, carnivals, and circuses.

When you are at a mall, you typically eat at a food court. There is much competition at a food court and, if you are at a large mall, there is a wide variety of food to choose from. People at the mall are not going to walk and eat, like they would at outdoor functions. They will sit down.

This means that they are going to be looking for more substantial foods like you typically see in a food court.

In a mall you rarely see people walking down the corridors eating much of anything. They cannot take the food into most shops. So, they are not going to want some sticky candy apple or a funny cake to have to deal with along with carrying their purchased items.

At the mall my girlfriend and I hang out (it's a big successful mall with lots of thriving businesses), a candied apple place opened up recently. From what I can gather, it is not doing well.

Another negative factor is the amount of rent you are going to have to pay. You'd need substantial sales volume for your profit margin to pay the rent and give you an income.

It's your decision, but I'd probably not choose a mall. I would try some mobile food stand type of thing and set up near events. The advantage here is that you can try different locations until you find a place that works.

Good luck with whatever you decide to do.

I think it could do well as long as you keep it interesting. I would give it the look of an old time fair. Maybe paint the walls with colors that would be at a fair. Then maybe put some balloons on the wall and let the people pop them for a prize. Just to draw in the customers.

I think it would really well, since the only time you can those things usually is at a carnival/circus. So I know people love the stuff, and it would sell well. Just make sure it is visable from the road or has a plain visable sign so people can easily find it. People dont like hazving to search for stuff, so advertise wisely
