Now that you know there are 6 outs per inning, also know that there are 9 innings per game. Each batter is allowed up to 3 strikes or 4 balls per at bat. 3 strikes equals an out, 4 balls equals a walk (base on balls).
There is the rare instance where a pitcher can record 4 strikeouts in a half an inning. If the 3rd batter were to strikeout and reach base due to an error on the catcher, then the pitcher would have the opportunity to strikeout a 4th batter in the half inning.

Where are you coming from anyway.....? Normally there are six (6) outs an inning. However if one team makes an error and the other team scores a run or more then it is called giving them "four outs."
Thus it is possible to have seven (7) outs an inning if one team makes an error leading to a run or more or even eight (8) outs if both teams make an error in the same inning leading to a run or more. Sound complicated? Well this is just the beginning of the baseball labyrinth!

There are 6 uts in one inning, 3 for the opposing team first, followed by 3 for the home team. After that it is a new inning.
