is it the Rosetta Stone? I don't know, never read or heard of a book about him. Research the Rosetta Stone.
To the second q, if the answer is Rosetta, then he probably isn't known as the father of egyptology cuz all he did was decipher it, he did not then unearth clues to the egyptian past and culture and history, which others did using his discovery or by digging up tombs.

THE ROSETTA STONE would be number 1.
That's why he's the founder, he was first to decrypt their writing.
