I love to do this for people, I make them a get better kit. It has a card, games(like a crossword puzzle or a new deck of cards), food{maybe some crackers or their favorite candy, but nothing that would make them more sick}, and also a soda{like a spirte or ginger ale}. I love to sew too so I make a bag for them too. But I've also used brown bags if I don't have enough time, always remember to say GET BETTER SOON! Good Luck! ~Carly

Try to bring them closer to home by taking pictures, souvenirs, and any other stuff to make them comfortable and to take them back home for a couple of hours. Also try to watch home videos. Or Just try to take them out on the town to get their mind off of home.

Here's what to do:
1) Call to see if she is okay
2) Send her a funny e card
3) Make chicken soup after school/work
4) Burn a CD of her favorite songs
5) Bring magazine and nailpolish that you both like
6) Go to his/her house and bring soup, Cd, and nailpolish/magazine
7) Have fun with your friend! ( Just don't get sick!)
Hope this helps!

Take her out. Listen to her. You don't have to be pushy. Just let her know you are there when she wants to talk. Hold her hand. You'll do fine.
