Toyota recommends 32 PSI for all their passenger car and light truck tires....i know this because i am a Toyota Service Tech...that being said, go by what the door placard says (ie. 32 psi.)

go with the maximum pressure printed on the side of the tire (usually 35 psi). You will give up some ride comfort but your tires will wear much better (longer) and the car will be much more secure in corners. Make sure that the pressure is measured cold (not driven). If you drive more than a mile, go with the hot pressure (typically 3 to 4 psi above cold). So if your tire is 35 psi max pressure, drive over a mile and go with 36-38 psi, they'll be fine (the pressure will drop as the tires cool).

look on the drivers side door jamb, there is a sticker there with tire pressure. I would go about 32-34psi for fuel economy but it might be a little bit of a stiff ride.

Do not go by the tire sidewall. This is bad advice. Always look for the tire pressure placard on your car or owners manual for the correct pressure. Believe me this will save you from handling problems etc... later on. And always use a good gauge and check the tires when cold.

For a general rule of thumb all mechanics will probably fill until it's 32 PSI. But if u wanna be real technical look in the owners manual if u have it.
