12h-5 = 11h+5-h

1) Re-arrange the equation so that everything containg "h" is one one side of the equal-sign, and everything else is on the other side. Remember that when moving something from one side of the equal-sign, the sign in front of it is reversed:

12h-11h+h = 5+5

2) Add and subtract:

h+h = 10
2h = 10

3) Divide by 2 on both sides to get h by itself:

h = 5

Hope this helps!

3)
