BAR for california question. Written estimate and invoice. If doing business with another company and not an individual consumer. is it required by bar, and state regs that a repair shop have a signed invoice from another company. Example: It is required that each invoice must be signed by the consumer for repairs. my question -is Does a company who contracts with a repair shop for services required to sign the final invoice?or is it not necessary?

Hollywood has it right.
Besides, why take a chance? Even if the authorization is signed by a shop "grunt", he still represents the client shop.

I work at a dealership in southern california and we are required to get a signature from anyone we write a estimate on.Another shop is still a customer.As the B.A.R. states write it right.
