Why doesn't she want u to use them? Maybe because of the risk of TSS (toxic shock syndrome)? If you understand TSS and are good about changing your tampon and only using the absorbancy you need then I think tampons are good. If you tend to not be responsible, you better stick with a pad.

You aren't too young hon, I used pads for like one cycle then I grabbed my mom's tampons, lol. They felt so much more comfortable and cleaner... Find out her reason why... sounds like she might have an issue with it/ Perhaps she sees it as something interferring with you being a virgin. I was a nurse, it is okay to use them. Reassure her or have your doctor tell her that it is fine. Good luck. Ps the reason they can cause toxic shock is because some women do not change them often enough. Just follow the instructions on the package.

the perfect age is whilst they sense waiting to apply them. From the time my daughter started her classes I made particular that the two tampons and towels have been available to her and we had a communicate approximately it. in the commencing up she reported she did not desire to apply tampons which became superb yet has began to in the final 3 hundred and sixty 5 days - as quickly as she realised that towels do scent and you may't do swimming and so on with them. It relies upon on the infant. it is going to possibly be their determination and no person elses - after all, they'd desire to get used to managing their classes and it quite is their physique.

well, your mom is just trying to protect you. if inserted wrong, they can really be uncomfortable and hurt you. i started using them when i was 15 and still a virgin and I was okay, but all girls are shaped differently. I'd say ask your mom if you could at least TRY one. If you get something with a plastic aplicator (tampax pearl is the best) unscented, or get the kind made for teens, you might be okay.
It might also be a responsibility issue. If you leave them in for too long you can get really really sick.

Trust your mom's judgement. Wearing a pad feels gross, but tampons can actually have bad side effects.

There isn't a certain age to start using them. It's just that you have to have them fit. Get it? When you are younger they may not quit fit and they feel awkward & such. You are never to young though to use the, if they fit. If I may suggest though, even if you want to save money, buy the nice brands because just for the extra dollar is is sooo much more worth it. Hope this helped.

As long as you're old enough to have your period you're old enough to use tampons. You're mom is probably worried about toxic shock syndrome. Check out tampax.com for some facts on tampons to see if they're right for you.

I started aroung that age...when I played sports. It was just easier for me, then. Give her a legitimate reason. In the future you will be able to buy them yourself so just wait a year or two, she still thinks of you as her baby.

your mom thinks you're too young? is your mom nuts? the point of tampons is to keep yourself from having blood all over your jeans. so whenever yolu get that monthly peirod you should have tampons.

WOW. I was 12 when I started using tampons. I used them as soon as I needed to go swimming while I was on my period. You can't swim if you don't. That's just gross.

just show her you ARE responsible and you ARE old enough. and i assume you dance(based on your nickname), so you need them! I would know. i dance too! but jazz. and let me tell you it is NOT pleasant to be doing all of those stretches and leaps in a pad! give her some time-she'll come around
