Transfer Case Question?

Are transfer cased geared based on weather or not they are going to placed in automatic transmission truck or manual 5 spd.. I have a case that came out of 1989 5spd Bronco II, will it work in a 1990 with an automatic transmission Bronco II?

..Yes, they will have different gearing

Transmission output shafts are different.
Also, transmission length is different.
