no,
but it is a good idea to have taken multivarible calculus before linear algebra,
but if you want to take them together... it will not hurt

i'm a math minor, and a pair of years in the past I had to make a similar determination. I chosen multivariable calculus. in spite of the undeniable fact that, after taking linear algebra and differential equations, i might say that the least confusing direction of the three is linear algebra. Multivariable calculus incorporates some very confusing, summary innovations, mutually as linear algebra is in actuality manipulating numbers only as you have been doing for years. After taking multivariable calculus, take differential equations, as there is not any way (till your awesome) to totally comprehend differential equations without your common calculus classes achieved. stable luck!

NO!!! Are you kidding? Linear algebra is basically algebra 1 + part of algebra 2, but just harder. It's basically really advanced algebra. Maybe not even THAT advanced. Multivariable calculus is calculus 3, I think. You don't have to take any calculus class to to get into linear algebra. It would be good to take multivariable calculus to make sure your algebra is strong.

Definitely not. But you need a mathematical maturity to take linear algebra as you will be asked to understand and produce proofs. Also it will be a lot more abstract than what you see in calculus as you will be working with things like vector spaces and linear transformations and alike and some of these things will be rather difficult to understand the very first time you try.

multivariable calculas uses many ideas that come from linear algebra but you dont need one or the other to understand both. It helps though. I think it would be better to do linear algebra first actually.

I sure wouldn't think so. I'd think it'd be the other way around.
