Switch to Yahoo mail, if not then take it hard because it can be a pain in the behind if you have to give away your e-mail address to 10 people and they sell it to 1,000 people including the nigerian scammer.

Try buying MailWasher Pro...you can bounce spam where it has an address (so you appear as if the e-mail isn't in use). If you unsubscribe from spam it is a trick to let them know your e-mail is in use. Just delete.

This program is also excellent for deleting attachments on the server from those you don't know, before you download in Outlook. So very effective in reducing those claiming to be microsoft.com! :) Apply this rule and you won't get viruses by e-mail for they never see your PC!

Yahoo! Mail does have excellent spam filters. Cuts out all the destined Spam pretty much from reaching my Outlook and MailWasher Pro or the web based mail, does the rest...

And to improve on this further, I discovered Mozilla Thunderbird today, which is better than Outlook technically and also is FREE!

Do switch to an ISP who has got a spam filter. That was for example one of the main reasons why I changed mine. To choose from go to www.adslguide.com. You have got everything there: ratings, contacts and they can direct you to pages which give details of different packages available of different prices.

Yahoo and Msn have spam filters that send it to the bin or bulk which does not count as your memory space.

Use your spam filter, and Never click the "unsubscribe" links in letters you didn't sign up for - that's how they know for sure you're there and that you Read their crap. It'll only invite more crap...
