You could try unplugging the router to see if it forget the password unless you are confusing with the WEP which is a wireless access code for accessing the router via WI-FI.

Keep in mind that many times you must hold the reset button for approximately 5 seconds before it will actually reset. You will notice the lights all go solid and then it will begin the reboot sequence. At this point you can release the reset button. After the router reboots, you will need to log into it. Open your browser and go to 192.168.1.1. The username will be blank and the password will be admin. From here you will have to reconfigure your router.

Push the reset button on the back of the router and it reverts back to the original default password. You will have to reconfigure it for security again, though.

unplug it from the wall
find the pinhole reset button ,you'll need a pin or a paperclip
poke the reset button while plugging the router back in
this will restore the router to the factory defaults.
