Currently you can't, using facilities provided by the airline industry.
Air Canada was among the first to test the high-speed waters, installing a Tenzing Internet system into five planes. More deals followed, including American, United and Delta entering into a joint venture with Boeing to wire up 1,500 of the three airlines' planes.
But after Sept. 11, Air Canada indefinitely put off its plans to use the technology on a significantly larger number of planes, according to Nicol. An airline in Singapore that was to outfit 56 of its planes with Tenzing gear is now delaying those plans as well, although talks continue, Nicol said.
If you are parked at the gate, using your cell phone will allow internet access, but the speed will be slow, and the suitability of a phone keypad leaves something to be desired when using the internet.

I don't think you can, but I've never really looked into it.
I know you can use your computer once you've taken off and are over 10,000 feet in altitude but otherwise I've never heard of internet access on a plane before. I thought it was just for things like Microsoft Word or Excel to work on business stuff like that.

There is no internet access--in the air, wireless and DSL would be impossible, and dial-up screwy. You can have electronics on without interference while the plane is in the air, but there is no internet possibility. Sorry.

I know that it is possible to get internet access on a plane...I've seem many businessmen in first class sipping their champagne/wine while checking e-mail or doing other work on their laptop...the best way to find out is to call the airline....they'll know for sure.
