How big is your pleco? Can he even fit a guppy in his mouth? I have a pleco for 5 years and he is 1 foot long and in all this time he has never harmed any of my fish. He has and is living with fry of all sizes. It is very rare that a pleco will eat a fish. Have you searched your tank - he could be dead and stuck under something in the tank. The other guppies will chew on him after he is dead as well.

You didn't say much about your set up, so it's hard to tell. Do you have a full cover on your tank? If not, the guppy may have jumped out, it is possible. If you have lots of decorations, it could be hiding. If it died and you didn't look for it for several hours, the other fish may have eaten most of it so that the remains blended in. You might not have looked hard enough in the filter. That's just a start.

Fish jump. Especially if stressed from things like being in a newly started tank. Check that it is not behind (or under, or anywhere around) the tank. Also bring a sample of water to the pet store to make sure that there isn't a problem with spikes or ammonia, nitrites or nitrates in your tank's water.

Chances are, your guppie was eaten. From what I understand, your other brand of fish are aggressive. I did that very same thing except I had tetras instead of guppies, and they were gone within two weeks.
