i will give you the answer that i got when i asked this question.
WELL DUH!
so do you like jackass? tell me honestly. i have loved them from the beginning not only because they are hot. and.... they are! but because they do the stupid stuff i wont do.
how can you live without trees in your yard? i would go crazy i would have no place to ride my toys. have you ever road a 4wheeler?
i just couldn't imagine?!

it was the weirdest thing, OK.... i had a dream about you strange i know. you were trying to show me the statue of liberty from Tokyo?! i guess i got you from your avatar and your flaming brown eyes:) i had to tell you. it was just so weird. by the way i saw Tokyo drift last night. so if you put all the pieces together it does make since. i am a very visual person!!!!
by the way, i was just saying that im not a hoe, and i don't want you to think less of me than you probably already do. it wasn't what you said. it was what i had said! so it was my "bad"... not yours.

A few people mentioned the predator winning at the end of AvP, but apparently they missed the part where the pred-alien burst from the chest of the dead Predator. In some of the books and such that have been made previous to the movie, there were such things as Pred-Aliens. Depending on what creature an Alien face-hugger latches onto, it will become a different kind of Alien. Pred-Aliens have an innate ability to constantly evolve and become tougher. They can also 'think' without a hive mind, as all Aliens without a Queen revert to the most instictual actions of killing and eating.
So, the predators technically did NOT win in the movie AvP and the entire crew of the Pred ship has a good chance of dieing.
Determining who would win between a Predator and an Alien is very difficult without knowing the terms of the fight. If it were a clean fight, no "man-made" weapons or armor involved, the Alien would obviously win. If the Pred was allowed all of his equipment he would win a one on one fight. If it were one pred and a handful of aliens, he would still more than likely win. In extreme circumstances no one would win, because the pred would wuss out and use his nuke.

I know Predator won in the movie but I thought that Alien should have.

if it was one alien and one predator then the predator would win, but aliens are pack animals so a hoard of aliens would quickly kill a predator. however the predators are highly advanced whereas the aliens are just beasts (animals) so i would have to say that ultimately the predators would win.

Predator because they focused on killin da Alien more. The Alien focus more on da human but when it came to fight da predator they lost.

If it were a simple one on one fight, with no weapons, then the Alien would win, due to it's `in-built` defences, speed, stamina, durability etc. It's the perfect natural killing machine.
The Predator relies on weapons and technology, without them it's nothing.

I would like to say the Aliens because theyre awesome and have cool aciddy spit and theyre, but the Predators would win because theyre smart and have weapons

keep in mind the ones in the movie were going through their "rights of passage".
Presumably, more mature members would have an even easier time against the aliens.
