Well, they don't. They might be put on the mantel of
the fireplace or on a bedroom dresser or in a cabinet
of memorabilia.
But OK. If they really must be buried with the urn then
it could be any place that you think or the deceased thought
would be most meaningful. You know, in the garden,
by a river, secretly in a park, in a forest somewhere that
will not likely be disturbed for a long time.
As for myself, I want to be cremated and have my ashes
mixed with potting soil in which tomato seeds will be planted.
When the tomatoes are ripe, my family will ritually eat them.
Kind of a signification of my returning to them. My son doesn't
like tomatoes, so he'll have to grow a separate pot of broccoli.

Most people do not bury urns. Many people keep them on the mantle or in the closet.
Like in "Meet the Parents", where Greg Focker knocks over Robert DeNiro's urn that contains his mom. then the cat pees on the mom's remains.

think they end up in garbage can, as soon as the thing sit for a million year on the mantle the next person dies off and by then it gets a lil' spooky to deal with that old stuff and everybody doesn't want to see it or breath it so they kinda disappear when they clean out the house....also because most urn people were also dog people and dogs dig up everything.

I don't think this is a strange question at all.

I am 78 years old and have left instructions to be cremated and my cremated remains buried in an urn in a cemetery plot.

urns don't get buried, they are either kept by the spouse or parents, or they are placed in a mausoleum.
