No type of animal eats only plants.
There is no such thing as a true herbivore, because all herbivore s eat insects at some point in time.
Technically anything with blood flowing through it is an animal and given different distinctions such as, mammal, reptile and insect. Even insects that feed on plants will eat another insect if starving.

There are dinosaurs and mammals that only eat plants, like everyone else said, they are called herbivores.
Brontosaurus & triceratops for example in dinosaurs.
Cows and deer in animals. Though it gets tricky with cows that are used food manufacturing because they're sometimes fed byproduct (ie. those few parts that don't even make the cut for hotdogs) of other cows.
Just thought I'd toss in some bonus learning.

Herbivores -- mammals and dinosaurs can both be herbivores -- the Koala is an example of a mammal herbivore and Brontosaurus is an example of a dinosaur herbivore.

That would be an herbivore, unless the animal in question is a human. Then it's a vegetarian. : ^ )
