Ok - if I understand correctly, your theory (the idea you're trying to test) is "Does Music Help Plants Grow?"

So, you'll need two plants - one that "hears" the music, and another plant that does not "hear" the music. The plant without the music is called the "control". You use a "control" to show what would happen without whatever you're testing (in this case, the music).

Start with two identical things - if you need results quickly, start with two plants. You can measure them, or count the number of leaves, or something to show that they are as close to identical as possible. If you have more time, you can use two seeds.

Make sure that the plant pots are also identical. Then, find two places in your house to put your plants. Yup, you got it - they also need to be identical - for example, both in windows that face the same direction, and so on.

You want to make sure that everything that happens to the plant, except for the music is ... identical. When you water the plants, measure the water so they both get the same amount. If you turn one plant around to face the sun, do the same with the other.

Every day, play some music to your music-hearing plant. After the end of your experiment, measure the two plants (or count leaves, or whatever) to compare which plant grew better.

If you want to get more involved, you could add more plants, keep one as a control (no music) and then play different kinds of music to each of the other plants. See if music makes any difference, and then see if the kind of music makes any difference.

If you want to really keep good scientific records, keep a list of each time you water the plants, and each time you play music (and possibly what kind of music you play). Measure the plants at the very beginning, and a few times throughout the experiment.

I hope this helps!
