No, never been broken
Kobe's 81 points was not close...90 or 95 points would be 'close'...
as Kobe will tell you...Kobe has no idea where an extra 19 points would have come from in that game.
And no, Lebron's not going to come close to the record either...unless he's playing in his driveway with his kids.
The answer below didn't list a couple of college games:
* Frank Selvy is the only person to score 100 points in an NCAA Division I game, when he scored exactly 100 for Furman against Newberry College in a 149-95 rout on February 13th, 1954. (41-66 FG, 18-22 FT)
(Selvy's best known game in the NBA is probably Game 7 of the 1962 NBA Finals in which Selvy's Lakers faced a four point deficit at the hands of Boston Celtics in the final minute of the game's fourth quarter. Selvy then proceeded to secure two crucial rebounds and score two baskets to tie the game at 100. However, he lost his chance for the ultimate heroic moment as he missed an 8-foot jump shot right before the buzzer that would have secured the championship for the Lakers had it gone in. The miss sent the game to overtime, where the Celtics prevailed in this, the first of six NBA Finals match-ups between Boston and Los Angeles over the course of just eight seasons.)
* Clarence "Bevo" Francis has the NCAA all-division record of 113 points, for Rio Grande Community College against Hillsdale College, exactly 11 days before Selvy's mark. Francis also holds the NAIA mark of 116 points for Rio against Ashland College on January 19th, 1963, but this is not recognized by the NCAA because it did not come against a four-year institution.

No, his NBA record has never been broken, and is unlikely to be. The closest was Kobe Bryant with his 81 points. Wilt also scored his 100 against a bad team where his teammates, sensing Wilt was on his way to a big game, keep feeding him the ball so he could keep scoring, against a Knick team that had no way to defend him. Kobe, on the other hand, played against a Raptor team that barely bothered to defend him. It's possible, but I don't think probable, that with the right combination of great, unstoppable player against a bad team, scoring close to 100 points could happen again, but I don't think that's something that will happen anytime soon. No team will want to be on the receiving end of that kind of humiliation again and will do whatever they must to keep it from happening to them.
However, if you should meet a man named Marc Stern, and he happens to be giving away his tickets to an NBA game, you should grab them up. He had tickets for Wilt's 100 point game, AND Kobe's 81 point game, and gave away his tickets both times. So, should you be in that situation where he offers you his tickets, take them, you might see a little NBA history made. :D

yes it has, before he made it... here is several lists of people who have scored over 100 points in basketball., inculding girls
Four girls have also scored 100 points in a high school game: current high schooler Epiphanny Prince of New York (113), Basketball Hall of Fame member and Olympic gold medalist Cheryl Miller (105), triple gold medalist and certain future Hall of Famer Lisa Leslie (101), and former NC State player Linda Page (100). Leslie's accomplishment is worth particular mention as her points were all scored in the first half of play; the opposing team, down 102-24, forfeited at halftime. She was on pace to score an astronomical 202 points for the entire game
The night Francis scored his 113 points against Hillsdale, he also set college records for most field goals (38) and most free throws (37).
Bevo had multi-100 point games
Mats Wermelin of Sweden holds the Guinness Book of Records title for most points scored in a single game: he scored all of the points in a 272-0 win in a regional tournament in Stockholm at the age of 13 on February 5, 1974.

Most recently, a 13-year-old Croatian player named Marin FerenÄeviÄ scored 178 points in a game for the under-14 team KK Virovitica. He had previously scored 101 points in a single game. [1]
The Legendary Trophico recently scored -312 points (shooting -116 for 126 from the field) against MM in the Cameroonian league, it has not been officially verified at this time.
