I am planning on starting a home based printing business. Printing slogans on T-shirts, Mouse Pads coaster, etc. Is this a great idea? Tell me what you think. I have all types of skills but this is something to do while I am attending college. I am purchasing a small heat press machine and the supplies next month. ADVICE PLEASE what do you the PEOPLE think?

I thank everyone for their input.

I want to sell locally and not on ebay I know lots of people and we have in door flea markets. I was thinking of putting whatever the person requests on any item of choice. How does that sound. All feedback is greatly appreciated. Ebay cost too much. http://www.craigslist.org is FREE!!!

Make some samples and sell or give them away to friends and family. If they are receptive, then you know you are onto something. Good luck.

If you are doing it locally, have adequate financing, and a well thought out business plan, then you may be ok. If you plan on "winging it" you will most likely fail miserably.

If you plan on depending on ebay or web sales then you have a long hard road ahead of you as there are thousands of well established business out there doing it already and I promise you they are tough competition.
