growing up & other issues?
okay my dream is to be an actreess and run for homecoming queen. each day i try or strive to meet someone new. i know if i tell my friends what i want to do in life and that i want to run for homecoming queen. she'll laugh. she bugs me so much. i try each to step out of my comfort zone. for the first time in my life i am bold enough to approach people and i have this positive energy flowing. yet people are so skeptical about me. many of my friends think i have not changed a bit and i never will. they alway s speak to me as if i'm still a child and they always assume i'm failing all my classes and that i will do anything to get with a guy. they are not always this way but when they are it pisses me off. any advise people

Follow your own dreams. If others do not support you then seek new friends.

listen, its nice to have a goal, if you want to be homecoming queen go for it, as far as what people think, it doesnt matter. Dont feel the need to tell people what your goal is, tell only those that will support and encourage you. Dont forget though, its not just the destination, its also the journey, break your goal into smaller pieces, say you want to be an actress and do something small each day towards your goal.

If you are changing and your friends can't accept that, maybe you need to change your friends. I always tell my kids if you find one true friend in your lifetime, you are a lucky person. A friend will accept the things you want in life especially if it is a change for the better. Maybe they have some things they want to change and they are a bit jealous they don't have your courage to do it! Sometimes putting people down makes others feel better about themselves...sad..but true. Keep up your confidence and don't change your goals for the people you are calling "friends".

Well the best way to approach this problem would be to reformulate your thought so that this sprawl thing doesn't happen again. Then remember that you are not that old, only what 18, that's only six years older than 12.

Do what you are comfortable doing - what makes you feel good. As you change and grow, your 'friends' may not be changing and growing with you. Follow your heart and your dreams.
Good Luck!

they are not your real friends. Real friends are there for you no matter what you choose to do, real friends help you acheive what you want to acheive. You do what you believe and what you feel. Do not follow a group, be your own person, that is who makes you who you are.
