To me June Cleaver is a Role - Model available for many women who has a nice outer appearance, but women who strive to be like her are trying to improve their inner being by creating strong families. It seems she was concerned with family achievements over personal achievements.

Other role models in our society are women like: Paris Hilton, Victoria’s Secrete Models, and other beauties. These role models contrarily, perpetuate followers to focus MORE on outer beauty and LESS on inner beauty and personal achievements.

So, now I’m worried thinking society will create the ultimate non-achievable and have a Victoria’s Secrete model play a role like June Cleaver … Kill me before the standards get that high please … Please … PLEASE!!!

Why aren’t men’s role models this high? Is this why men are floundering in society?

I tell my Mom that she's June Cleaver. We live a far from perfect life, but she reminds me of June.

June is pretty 'intense' for her time. Although she played the role of the stay at home mother who does all the things that a woman should do, she also let her family know where she stood on certain grounds. She only had to give Ward a look to make him think again.

What's to think? She was a fictional character portrayed by an actress for a television sitcom. As an actress, she was "marginal" & lacked star quality status. The role she played set women back about 40 years to the past & helped to keep women stuck in the home and attempting to achieve a make believe relationship with husband & family! She (the actress) was only trying to make a living without thinking or knowing the impact she would have on the American Woman/Household.

She was the dutiful wife and mother...just the type of model mom of the 50's early 60's. She did have a lil bit of a sassy sense of humor and secretly was the brains of the family but all in all still she was just a concoction of her times. I have no negative feelings about her but consider myself very lucky to be living in a much better time for women!

Envy the cool calm way she could handle most things. She is who I think of when I need to be that calm mom in the face of problems.

I liked her. She did what the television show required her to do and say. Good hairdo, good dress. Wonder why she chose that guy to marry in that tv show though.
