Tell me this - are gay men more prone to pedophilia more so than lesbians, hetrosexuals. I am not predjudice towars the gay community, but I had an experience with a pedophile that makes me question whether sexual preferences result in sexual assault towards children. It was very painful and I know this was about me learning some spiritual lesson. God Bless

The idea that gays pose a threat to children is a 20th century invention of the religious reich, when just waving a bible stopped being enough to get support for anti-gay laws, they started saying that gays need to recruit straight children since they themselves cannot reproduce. That was the basis of Anita Bryant's Dade County Initiative and her national anti-gay hate campaign back in the 70s. It's also the main justification for denying gays the right to adopt. Bigots will always find something to attack about, that what they're saying might be a bald-faced lie has never been a consideration, and it is unlikely it ever will be.

Most of the studyies show that most peophiles are prdominately hederosexual, but it is true that there tends to be a trend within the male gay community towards youg guys. I don't think sexual preference is the strongest factor in whether a person becomes a pedophile.

There is absolutely NO evidence of any correlation between homosexuality and pedophilia.
Pedophilia does seem to be more common in men.
Accordingly almost all the cases of molested young men were done by gay male pedophiles.
But that is the only reason people mistakenly think there is a corelation between homosexulaity and pedophilia.
In fact, by far, the vast majority of sexually abused children are young girls molested by males with a straight orientation.

I'm sorry for you pain. i don't think that gay men are more prone to be pedophiles but i would be aware of everyone. i have two girls and trust if i don't get good vibes off of people, they come no where near my children. so just be careful. but your question was a great one and i pray that you heal. Gay or straight it doesn't matter. The majority of pedophiles I have heard of are married etc.
I think there is a mentality to anyone who is a pedophile and therefore they don't descriminate who they target. It doesn't matter to them so long as they get off on it.

Pedophiles aren't gay. They're not straight, either. They're pedophiles, which is a sexual preference in of itself. Just like gay men don't want to have sex with women and straight men don't want to have sex with men, pedophiles don't want to have sex with adult men or women. They are attracted to prepubescent children, ergo they cannot be gay or straight.
