They do exist. Our loved ones do visit us, usually in dreams. Probably because that is when we are most receptive.

When discussing the subject of life after death, belief always is the most important factor. If you experience something that can't be explained by logic or science, say, seeing your father after he has been dead for fifteen years, and you believe in your heart that it was not a delusional episode, then ghosts are real.
I myself have had similar experiences. Many people I know would say I'm not in my right mind, but in my heart I believe. Just like I believe in God without ever having any physical evidence, so to do I believe in ghosts.
When you think about it, if you believe in God, and that you have a soul that lives on after the physical body expires, then you are believing in a spirit world. And if you believe in that, then how do you know whether or not some spirits stay here among us?
I'm going to have to wait until I get to the otherside before I know for sure, but until then I plan on keeping the faith and believing in what I have experienced during this life.

I'm not sure how to explain the way they are there or how they are there but they are spirits. Some are mindless other have intellegance. I have many theorys. Yes I am a christian, but I am not sure whether they are all bad. I know they are not all good. It is good to pray to God. It is good to have his spiritual protection. In the spirit world 99.95 percent of the people in the world are way over their heads. It is not good to poke around in the spirit world. I met a guy who thought that just cause someone else did it that he could and I told him thats a good way to have a bad time. He was a big know it all. Anyways I would recommend you ask God to take all the unwanted spirits from your home as they can be a royal pain, trust me. I am a self taught Paranormal Investigator specializing in the field of spirits and demons. I would try to pass it as a dream unless you are 100 percent sure you can eliminate it. You must eliminate all of the possiblities first. Don't be alarmed by spirits. You have been around thousands in your life time. If you have more questions you can contact me at ****_mother@yahoo.com . Thanks, hope I helpped.

"There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio......" Having first-hand seen spirits I do believe in them. There are things that we are closed off to in life to perserve our sanity. Some people say its the third eye being closed. The moment you claim to have seen something you get the odd look and the have you been drinking or smoking question. I think it also depends on your beliefs and your level of spirituality and sometimes innocence. You wont see one if you are totally turned against the idea of it. They say that animals can sense things. Sometimes your dog is barking at something even if you dont see it.
I am a spiritual person and not a religious person but for those who want to get biblical......
"a) In 1 Samuel 28:7-19, King Saul seeks a woman with a familiar spirit (demon) to inquire of Samuel about what to do. That she actually manages to communicate with the dead shocks her (v. 12) indicating to me that it did not previously happen.
b) In Matthew 17:1-8, Peter, James and John see Moses and Elijah with Jesus for a brief period of time.
c) In Luke 16:19-31 Jesus tells the story of the rich man and Lazarus. In this story we learn of there being two compartments for the dead until the Great White Throne Judgment (Revelation 20:11f.). Also in the story the rich man asks for Lazarus to be sent back to warn the living. Moses says it would do not good because if they will not believe God's written word, they will not believe though one should rise from the dead."
Gives you something to think about.

Yes, I believe in ghosts! If one believes in life after death-how can one not believe some spirits get left behind-or choose to stay? Why they would do this is beyond me....if you saw your father-he would not be considered a ghost-he would simply be a spirit who was visiting. Ghosts are spirits who usually do not know or understand that they are dead.

Ghosts do exist, but your father isn't a ghost. You're father did visit you, but he is a spirit. A ghost is a spirit of someone who doesn't realize that they passed on and hasn't moved on to the other side. You should feel very blessed to have had a visit from your father, let him know that it's good for him to visit and he'll come around more often!

Ghosts? Oh, yes indeed. If there is an afterlife, there will be those who are too afraid to pass on. There are a million ghost stories across the continents that have to do with the same night horrors- monsters made of shadows, spirits of mutated cannibals, maidens made of ice. It's like mythology- if something like this didn't really happen, then how could so many differing cultures have such similar stories?

it really is a sturdy instruct, no matter if you've by no skill believed that stuff. they start up off skeptical, and rather of attempting to make ghosts out of no longer something, they somewhat attempt to disprove the ghost thoughts through searching earthly motives. in the experience that they could't locate any, they go away it as a lot as you to make your ideas up what to trust. both way, it really is relaxing to visual exhibit unit. they are hiring too many new human beings, although. i'm hoping they don't change into like the exhibits that ought to fabricate their scares.

Yay! I live with at least 2. None of my friends will come over to my house anymore. Scary/freaky things happen all the time.
I own 11 acres of land that used to be part of a large cotton plantation at one time. We've been told by some of the elders in our extremely small community that there are slaves buried throughout the area where we now live. I have no idea if that is where our ghosts came from or not, but they are definitely there. They tried to drown one of my cats one time...long story!

As most agnostics, I am constantly searching for proof of life after death. I realize that this is due to a lack of any specific religion that would leave me to believe that I will survive after my day has come. This is human nature to want to believe in something that will prove I will still exist after death. We (and I mean all of us) want so badly to believe that we are immortal. This is why religion and occult are so popular. We hear stories about ghosts, UFO's, and acts of God, and we want to believe. If ghosts did not exist, we would still hear constant stories of ghost experiences, and we would believe them. So, the question stands: do ghosts actually exist, or are they just figments of our sub-consious minds wanting to believe in life after death. I am interested in anybody's input on this issue, and I am also curious if there is anyone out there that is currently studying this issue that may need a little help in their studies.
