Studying abroad in Costa Rica is amazing. The first time I visited I spent 4 months in San Jose and it was a life changing experience. I lived with a family the whole time and that really helped in learning Spanish. When I arrived I did not speak a word of spanish and by the end I spoke decent spanish but the whole time it was easy because the people are so friendly.

That was 11 years ago I now I work in the travel industry in Costa Rica.

Most of the people in Costa Rica know english and can speak it fairly well, they are extremely friendly and tourist oriented. You won´t have any trouble communicating or getting them to understand you.

Costa Rica is great, I love the food, I really love the food. There is easy access to most of the country and everything is relatively nearby.

You will have lots of fun. Pura Vida!!

Temperatures will be counted upon the time of year and the precise elevation of your volunteer web site. Heredia should be humid even if that's not quite warm. Temperatures more beneficial than 80degrees F or 27 stages C at the prompt are not that worry-free.
