No they wont. Even if they are 1 of 3 teams to go undefeated, which could easily happen, when the BCS comes out there strength of schedule will hurt them badly. They play in a very weak Big east conference and their only real test left is Louisville at Louisville. They would only compete if a team with 1 loss isn't ranked higher then them in rankings or the BCS. They realistically don't have a chance because of the BCS.

No. Even if they go 12-0 I don't think they would reach #1 or 2 in the final BCS poll because the six computer ranking services take into account strength of schedule, and WVU's is weak compared to the 5 other BCS conferences strong teams.

that is hard too say. WV is returning all-each thing gamers Steve Slaton and Pat White yet i'm undecided in the event that they are going to be sufficient to take the Mountaineers to the BCS call game, or in the event that they are going to additionally be sufficient to maintain them undefeated this season. With a suspect O-Line and no real vast time playmakers on protection, i see the Mountaineers ending at worst 9-3 and third or 4th interior the super East. they have an extremely perplexing schedule this 12 months. They face 7 communities who went to bowl video games final 12 months, alongside with 3 who're non-convention. they have journeys to Maryland, Rutgers and South Florida, who pull that surprising upset final 12 months in Morgantown over the Mountaineers. and that that they had take Rutgers to triple extra time to beat them. they could face Louisville and Rutgers in back-to-back weeks. The season could be desperate in those 2 weeks on my own. To be ordinary, it does no longer ask your self me if the Mountaineers have been 3-2 on the tip of September. yet to sum this all up, the offense at the back of some "good" O-line play will post factors in bunches yet my in easy terms concerns are the protection can play properly sufficient to make some stops for the offense to paintings their magic and if the Mountaineers can compete properly in ballgames and close them out like they start them. Letting a team South Florida are available in and push you around showin that they might compete with you is ridiculous. you have the right comparable schedule as final 12 months, and that they struggled by it particularly. i think of that a brilliant East call isn't out of the question ,even thou that is not a effective element the two, yet as a good distance with the aid of fact the national Championship, longshot. prepare your self for yet another 10-2 or 9-3 widely used season with yet another Gator Bowl visual attraction. perhaps 2008 often is the Mountaineers 12 months.

I don't think they will. I predict Southern Cal and Auburn in the final game. I think WVU's schedule is so weak that a team with 1 loss may move ahead of them in the BCS.

They are definitely a lock for the BCS Championship Game as long as they beat Louisville. No one else on their schedule is even remotely good.

So they are in the championship game. Who will they play? My money right now is on Florida. But we'll see.

West Virginia will at LEAST make it to the championship game though. Guaranteed!

No. They'll go down at Louisville. Even if they finished unbeaten, they'd have to face Auburn or OSU in the Championship game, and get beat down.

Nope, Louisville will beat them. To the person who says they are guaranteed if they finish undefeated NO they are not. If two other teams besides them finish undefeated they will NOT be in the championship game. It's a FACT

no.

not because they stink or anything, but because WV has to be rated #1 or #2 in the BCS poll by the end of the season. i'm sure WV can finish the season undefeated, but i don't think they will finish #1 or #2 in the BCS poll.

but i bet they will play in another BCS bowl.
