when pregnant, your body produces relaxin, this facilitates the birth process by causing a softening and lengthening of the cervix and the place where the pubic bones come together......
your hips are expanding to make room for the babys head and shoulders to fit through. Another joy of pregnancy!!

Go see your doctor just to be sure but it probably is just braxton hicks contractons or cramping. Third trimester was incredibly uncomfortable to me with both my kids. I couldn't wait for my pregnancy to be over. If the pain increases or comes in intervals I would get to the hospital to be checked out. Even if there is nothing wrong, the hospital staff won't laugh at you. So many women come in with pain and discomfort in their last trimester (that's what the staff told me when I thought I was in early labor - ha ha). If there is any bleeding or if your water suddenly breaks, get to the hospital fast. Otherwise if you think it is just cramping from discomfort and the baby growing, I found a hot water bottle placed on the crampy spots helped. Also lay down and relax if you can. This sometimes helps the braxton hicks contractions go away. However, if they continue and get stronger, and come at more and more frequently, then your probably in labour.

Well..
1.. I don't know if you want to listen to a plastic surgeon who can't even spell surgeon.
2.. Definitely see a doctor. It's never wrong to get worried. I mean you always want to be safe, especially when it comes to another life. What's the harm in going and having the doc tell you that your baby is growing normally. It's a relief, isn't it? And maybe he can give you tips on how to prevent it or relieve it, like exercises.

it could be pressure from the uterus bearing down on organs in the pelvic region.
